Board Tycoon
Play a 2-6 player property-trading board game right on your Drawdy board. Pick a theme (Classic, Thailand, Space, Fantasy), roll, buy, build, trade and bankrupt your friends - together on a cloud board or hot-seat on one screen.
Board Tycoon
Play a Monopoly-style property-trading game with 2–6 friends, right on your Drawdy board. Play online with everyone on their own device, or pass one screen around.
Getting started
- Click the Board Tycoon button in the toolbar.
- Create a game. Pick a theme and a language, and change the house rules if you want.
- Invite friends to your board. Each person opens the Board Tycoon panel and joins with a name, color and token.
- Playing on one screen? Use Add another player on this device to add everyone.
- When everyone has joined, the player who created the game clicks Start game.
- Take turns. The panel shows whose turn it is and lights up only the moves you can make.
Tip: press Space or Enter to do the main action, like rolling the dice.
The panel plays sound effects for dice, money, buying, building, cards and more. Click the speaker button at the top of the panel to turn them off. Your browser starts the sound after your first click in the panel.
What you can do on your turn
- Roll the dice and move.
- Buy the property you land on, or pass and let everyone bid for it in an auction.
- Build houses and hotels once you own a full color group, or sell them back to the bank.
- Mortgage a property for quick cash, and pay it back later.
- Trade money, properties and Get Out of Jail Free cards with other players.
- Get out of jail by paying the fine, using a card, or rolling doubles.
- Stay in the game when you're short on money by selling, mortgaging or trading. If you can't pay, you go bankrupt.
- Focus board to jump the camera to the board or to a single space.
Themes
- Classic City: streets, railroads and utilities.
- Thailand: Thai places and art, with prices in baht (฿).
- Space Frontier: a space colony.
- Fantasy Realm: dungeons, portals and mana wells.
Every theme plays the same way with the same prices. Only the names and art change.
House rules
The game follows the official rules. When you create a game, you can change:
- Starting cash (default $1,500)
- Money for passing GO (default $200)
- Double money for landing exactly on GO (off by default)
- Free Parking jackpot: taxes and fines go into a pot for whoever lands on Free Parking (off by default)
- Auctions when a player doesn't buy a property (on by default)
- Even building across a color group (on by default)
- Collecting rent while in jail (on by default)
- Jail fine (default $50)
- Round limit: the richest player wins when it's reached (no limit by default)
- Number of houses and hotels the bank has (32 and 12 by default)
Languages
English, ไทย, 中文 and Español.
- The game language is chosen when the game is created. The board, cards and game log use it for everyone.
- Each player can switch their own panel language at the top of the panel.
Privacy
Board Tycoon only draws the game on your board and sees who is on the board so they can join. It doesn't store anything outside your board and doesn't connect to the internet.
