When Drawdy is the wrong tool

Your lessons run through an LMS and the board has to sit inside Google Classroom or Canvas. Drawdy does not advertise any LMS integration, so there is no roster sync and no assignment handoff, and the whiteboard built into the LMS is the shorter path.

Do students need an account to join?+
No. A share link puts a student on the board without signing up and without installing anything, which also means there is no student email address for you to collect or look after.
Can students see the board but not draw on it?+
Yes. Every share link carries a role: a viewer link lets the class follow the board without editing it, and an editor link lets them draw. Send the viewer link while you are teaching and the editor link when it is their turn.
Does it work on Chromebooks?+
It runs in any modern browser with nothing to install, so a Chromebook opens a board the same way a laptop or a tablet does. Boards also keep working offline, and syncing catches up when the connection comes back.
